The way things seem to be going, it looks like submissions are going to be closed for quite a while. Work is keeping me very busy, which has really cut down the time I have to work on this site. I'm sorry about this, but I would rather spend the little free time I have looking for stories I want for this site, rather than dealing with submissions.

If you really want to try to get on this site, your best bet would be to join the Pokemon Fanfiction mailing list (Go to the "Playground" for more information on the Pokemon fanfiction mailing list) I am a member of this list, and that is where I find stories for this page. I don't have time to read all the stories that come out on that list, but I do try to read as many as possible.

If things change and I find myself with more time to work on this site, I will open submissions again.

The first thing is the above line. Forgive the blink tag, I know it's annoying, but I want to get your attention. If it says submissions are open, then you are welcome to submit. If it says they are closed, then I'm not taking submissions at this time. I have limited time to work on this site and I don't want anyone to send me anything and have them worry that it won't be put up quickly. If you want to submit and you see submissions are closed, please wait and submit again when they are open. I will do my best to get through everything sent to me, so I can keep submissions open.

All submissions must be sent to pokekierra@yahoo.com. That's the only address to send fanfiction to, at least at this time.

I want to make this simple and fair, so here it goes

What qualifies for this site?

Fanfiction that is about the cartoon show, Pokémon. Just the show, not the game. This does not mean that you can't write about other characters or have your own original characters in your fanfiction, but I want to see the characters from the show in there as well. Or at least your original characters should have some connection with characters in the show. For example, if you wanted to submit a story about Ash and Misty's son going on his Pokémon adventures, that would be fine.

Nothing above a PG rating. I'm going to be strict on this one. I want kids of any age to be able to visit this site.

Finished stories only. I know, this sounds really mean, but there is a reason for that. I don't want to end up starting to put up a multi-part story and then run out of time and have people waiting for the next parts. I don't care how long the story is, as long as it's finished when you send it to me. No, this doesn't mean that you can't have a story with several sequels, it just means that what you send me must be finished. You can send me one complete story and then as many sequels to the first one as you want, as long as submissions are open.

How to send stories

Please send the stories in the body of an e-mail letter if at all possible. If you must send it as an attachment, please make sure that it's in text or HTML format. Otherwise, I might not be able to open it and I won't be able to put it up.

When sending me stories, please make sure you also send me:

A: The name you want to go under. (It doesn't have to be your real name, it can be a code name, or anything you want, as long as you tell me what it is so I can list it properly.)

B: Your e-mail address. I will list all author's email address on their index page so people can send them feedback. I will automatically use the email address their submission came from, unless I'm told specifically that the author has another email address they would prefer for feedback.

C: The title of your story. (I know, it sounds obvious, but I'm covering all the bases!)

D: Your disclaimer Give credit where credit is due. If a story is sent to me without a disclaimer, I will put one up myself. If someone sends me a disclaimer that I don't feel is proper, I will alter it so it at least credits Gamefreak, Nintendo, and 4Kids.

E: Any information you want put up with your index page? This is purely optional and I will happily put up your stories with just your name and e-mail address, but if there is something else you want people to know, please send it along with your stories and I'll put it up.

For example: "I'm 18 years old and I've been writing fanfiction since I was 8. Besides Pokémon, I also like to write X-Men fanfiction. Someday, I hope to be a writer of fantasy novels."
